About the Artist

As mentioned, I started taking photographs right out of college with the graduation gift of a camera.  It was not digital, so what you took was what you got, but you didn’t know it until they were developed.  9 photos out of 10 were disappointing due to all of the various reasons, exposure, speed, and all of the various settings involved.  I usually liked the subject in the photo, but not the photo itself.  Digital has obviously changed that entirely!

However, one thing that triggered me into trying oil painting was the possibility of capturing the subject, and being able to “create my own settings”, so to speak.  ow the hardest part about a painting is actually finishing it or knowing when it is done.

Is that the look of a deeply troubled artist or what?

More to come…..
